Rev. Demetra S. Manns-Marsh
Pastor since June 1, 2025Affectionately known as Pastor Dee, Reverend Manns-Marsh serves Hudson Grove AME Zion Church and is the Wadesboro-Monroe District Director of Music.
Originally from Bassett, Virginia, she studied in the Henry County School System and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. She also completed Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ Teaching Residence Exceptional Children Adapted Curriculum Program.

As Wadesboro-Monroe District Director of Music, she contributes to the musical life of the district.

She is Executive Director of Amongst Friends, which provides home and community-based services for people with disabilities in the Charlotte area.

Pastor Dee is married to Danny Ray Marsh. Together they are the proud parents of Danyelle Marsh and Demetrius Marsh.
Outside of her work and ministry, she enjoys traveling, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family. Her professional background includes helping youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
